A long and lovely tradition of tea serving and drinking takes place in the Northwest region of Africa and parts of the Middle East. There are conflicting stories of how tea came to these areas, with some sources reporting as early as the 12th century. Traditional Moroccan tea is prepared in silver teapots and small glass cups; tea leaves, mint and sugar are mixed to create a sweet, minty drink that can refresh a weary traveler, or even have a cooling effect in the relentless desert sun. The serving of the tea is often used as a welcome to friends and strangers. In this blend we recreate the minty goodness from Morocco
