Made from tea plants from Kenya that are rich in anthocyanin flavonoids. Purple tea gets its name because the leaves will actually flush purple while growing on the bush during particular times of the year. Lightly twisted large leaves that have been steamed in the Japanese green tea method. Brews a lilac/grey color and has subtle hints of pumpkin and honeysuckle; smooth with a lingering astringency. Fun fact: add a few drops of lemon juice to your cup and the brew will turn pink!
