Classic Ceylon orange pekoe with a nice light astringency. Orange pekoe refers to grade of leaf from the tea plant and has nothing to do with orange flavor. This terminology is typically found in descriptions of teas from Sri Lanka and India and countries other than China. This is oftentimes seen as “OP”, so this tea would be Kenilworth OP. Uniformly black, thin, wiry leaves, with aroma of tannat. Brewed tea is slightly sweet, strong notes of rose and caramel.
