Roasted mate is mixed with caramel and chicory root to make a creamy, nutty, dessert-like tea. Mate is from a totally different plant than the tea plant, but it also has caffeine, and in this blend it is roasted to give it a more warming and creamy flavor. Caramel mate also makes a great option for someone who may be transitioning to tea from coffee.
